Exercise will make you smarter!

If you knew that changing your exercise routine could improve your mind, wouldn’t you hop to it? If you knew that your brain would work better and faster if you performed different and varied exercises, wouldn’t you jump on it? Well, research has shown that this is true!
Ten years ago scientists in California published a finding that exercise stimulates the creation of new brain cells. But at that time they did not know which exercises were most beneficial. A few years later a study came out where students were asked to memorize a string of letters and then pick a task for 30 minutes-sit quietly, run on a treadmill or lift weights-before performing the same test again. The students were noticeably quicker and more accurate if they ran on the treadmill. The aerobic exercise where oxygen was circulating throughout their system and blood moved to the body parts and the brain quickly caused the brain to create new cells which in turn were used to solve problems faster.
Often times we find that we are more energetic after a vigorous workout. We may also feel that we can think more clearly if we’ve gone out for a run. The reason for this is that new neurons are created when blood circulates faster to the brain. We can think better and more clearly if we’ve participated in an aerobic workout. Some people need to exercise to problem-solve. They find that if they just go and workout, they can return to a problem they left and solve it with a fresh mindset. They are thinking the right way!
If you have a particularly taxing day ahead or you think that you might be too busy to get in that workout. Think again. The workout that you may want to avoid that morning may be just what you need to motivate to think more clearly and more effectively.
Dramatically increase your blood flow to the brain by working hard at bootcamp and running in between when you may miss bootcamp. Improve your memory by getting your heart rate up during exercise. Studies show that as we age, our brain function slows down due to lack of motion. So get that blood flowing to the brain and improve yourself and your thinking by coming to bootcamp and keeping yourself active every single day!
