Servicing clients in the healthcare field for over 15 years provided me with the understanding of what they are searching for emotionally. Working in rehabilitation medicine has enabled me to understand how important it is for us to protect and strengthen our bodies.
Exercising has always been part of my life. I’ve trained privately for more then 10 years in various techniques such as boxing, strengthening, yoga, and pilates and I finally discovered the right workout that works best for us as we age. Combining sports drills while cross training with yoga and pilates empowers the mind and body to feel stronger, younger and rejuvenated. It reshapes our bodies and pushes through limits.
Real Body Bootcamp began last year with a small group of women in the Montclair community, called the ‘Neighborhood Workouts’. We’ve expanded this year and started to incorporate all levels of exercises for all ages and levels of fitness so that everyone can feel the benefits of the program.
Being a mother of three I understand how pregnancy can change your body. I knew it was going to take a lot of work and dedication to get my body back.
I finally feel strong enough to lift my kids without hurting myself! I also feel like I’ve taken years off my life.
I truly find it to be a rewarding experience and get excited when clients tell me they are happy with their results.

The mind is a powerful tool, use it to push through limits and see fast results.

Liz Samuel CPR-AED certified, has been exercising ever since she first laid eyes on a gym–probably at the age of 8!  A childhood spent in the gymnasium working on back handsprings and aerials prepared her for cheerleading and running track in high school.  By college, Liz was at the gym three or four times a week.  Step aerobics, high impact aerobics, treadmill running, weight-lifting, dance aerobics, Pilates, yoga–you name it, she loves it!! (Except for spinning which is a longer story!)  And she wants everyone else to feel the same way!

As a busy mom to two young children, she feels it is important to keep active and motivated to stay in shape  and she wants other parents to understand the importance of this as well.  She credits yoga for her precipitous births–her first born came into this world right after a yoga class–labor was just an hour long!

Liz’s passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle drove her to join Bernadette in a ‘neighborhood workout’ last year and several months later, Real Body Bootcamp was formed.  It is a joy to see so many people benefitting from the workouts, gaining strength each time and confidence to reach their goals.

Liz has a BS in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.  She spent almost 8 years as a freelance television producer here in NY and in London working for networks including NBC, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Bravo, Lifetime and several others.  She is also an actress and has appeared most recently in local productions in Montclair at the Studio Playhouse.  Liz has studied acting for the past six years at the Sally Johnson Studio in Manhattan and she has appeared in numerous short films and commercials.  Exercise and  a healthy lifestyle has helped her with movement and presence on the stage.
