We began Real Body Bootcamp in ’09 and we wanted to share with you how our bootcampers are progressing.  We’ve asked those of you who have been with us for more than three weeks to give us your testimonials.  It generally takes three weeks to notice a big difference.  And we noticed that a lot of you are getting stronger and increasing your fitness levels with every workout.  Sometimes the scale may not be a good indication of how you are progressing with the fitness program but your energy levels, strength, agility, balance, coordination and even how your clothes are fitting can be.  Overall, we are impressed with your dedication and willingness to keep up with the changing routines and we feel ready to challenge you more because of your successful progress!

_mg_0323-web-11I am a 35 yr old male and I attended my first class on 6/28 with Bernadette. Today is 6/30 and my glutes (aka Butt Cheeks) are still sore, but it’s a “good sore” so I know I pushed myself. Now, I’ve been an athlete all my life, I workout regularly and train for road races, so I know a good workout when I’m involved with one. In 4 simple words; It Kicked My Ass! Don’t let Bernie’s petite, svelt frame and cute smile fool you. She knows which exercises compliment each other and will work you hard. However, she’s not the type of trainer to sit on the sidelines and bark orders, she does everything right along side you. She is even prepared with extra equipment, and I was able to borrow a medicine ball for a particular exercise. I typically do not get up @ 5am for ANYTHING, unless I’m going to the aiport, so I do have to get used to that aspect. Otherwise, I plan on going every week and I look forward to getting in better shape even faster this summer and continue afterwards.

Real Body Bootcamp is AWESOME!  I would have never believed anyone had they told me I would be working out at 6 AM three days a week.  I am not a morning person but I knew I needed a change and a different workout schedule.  The plan of getting on my treadmill each evening was not really working so I attempted a trial class and was immediately hooked.  I feel like a new person!  I have so much more energy and I look and feel better each day.  The classes are very challenging but completely attainable and they are fun!  Both instructors are unique and keep you guessing what will we be doing next.  On a final note, I can’t leave out the music!  Its never the same old song and I leave each class humming a new tune with a big smile on my face ready to begin my day!—Chris

 

Real Body Bootcamp is one of the best workouts I’ve ever had.  I joined the class in May and have lost six pounds so far.  That might not seem like alot of weight in two months but I have gained muscle, and lost inches.  My clothes fit me better and I feel better about myself knowing that by the end of the summer I will be lean and fit.  Something I lost since the birth of my son two years ago. My mother left for Florida June 1st and just got back.  First thing she said to me was “you look like you lost some weight, and I see muscle tone in your arms” needless to say, I was thrilled by the comment.  I never thought that I would be able to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to get ready for exercise!  With time it gets easier, you’re done with your workout first thing and you feel great for the rest of the day.  I plan to stick with it for as long as I can!—Michelle

Real Body Bootcamp is my personal trainer. Bernie and Liz are so professional and inspirational. The physical and mental improvements were surprisingly quick and the variety in the workouts continue to keep me focus on my goals and coming back for more. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the push I needed to get motivated again! After two kids, I felt myself in a slump and with very little time to devote to exercising. Your program got me back on track! Your workouts are amazing. I love the fact that it never gets boring, because you combine so many different types of exercises (including some of my favorites like Yoga and Pilates!). I definitely pushed myself a lot more than I have done working out alone! Plus, it is a fun group, with great music. A wonderful way to start the day!

dscn00062Since i sarted bootcamp my energy level has risen. It’s a little tough to get up some times but once your up it’s all worth it. The weather has been great and it boosts your mood working out outdoors. I’ve been raving to anyone who will listen because they all keep saying I’m losing weight and they want to know what I’m doing. I’ve lost 15 pounds and have a lot to go but I can’t wait to lose it all. This workout is the best and Liz and Bernie are the best!!!!–Veronica

Montclair(I lived in Hoboken and Jersey City previously) and was
looking for an alternative to joining a gym. The opportunity to workout
outdoors in a park and be continually challenged had great appeal for
me. A few years ago I combined my gym cardio workouts with that of a
personal trainer and loved the challenges and guidance he presented me
with each time we worked together. Bernie and Liz’s boot camp is the
best of both worlds. They lead us through cardio and weight training
while injecting fun and diversity.
